City Hall Rental Information

The City of Skyline city hall is a meeting space for our local govermental meetings as well as a rental space for people to gather for private or public events.

In order to confirm the reservation, the $200 deposit check must be received. A deposit of $200 is required to book your event. A $500 deposit is required if you choose to have alcohol at your event. If you have alcohol, you must provide a Certificate of Insurance verifying that you have a general liability coverage.


A separate rental payment will be required at, or prior to, the time of use. 
The rental fee is $150/day for non-residents and $75/day for residents (change in 2026). 

The reservation will be tentatively added to the calendar at the time of request.  Please remit your deposit payment, in the form of cash or check only to City of Skyline, 164 S. Skyline Drive, Mankato, MN 56001or place it in the locked mailbox outside of city hall.

Damage/cleaning fee will be returned or destroyed immediately upon surveying the hall for any damages or negligence after use. 

City Hall is not available for rent on the following days:

Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
In the case of an emergency meeting, the City Council holds the right to cancel or modify a reservation.

     (4) - 6 ft tables
     (5) - 5 ft round tables
     (1) - 12 ft conference table
     (50) - chairs
     (1) - 52" flat panel TV, DVD/VCR and external connection
Kitchen:
     12 cup coffee maker, microwave, stove, oven, and refrigerator.
Cleaning supplies:
     Paper towels, garbage bags, vacuum, broom and dustpan, mop and bucket
Terms and Conditions:

City Hall closes at 10pm Sunday - Thursday and 12am Friday and Saturday. There is no overnight usage of the facility allowed.

Capacity of City Hall with tables and chairs: 67 people. Chairs only: 99 people.

The hall is ADA compliant. 

The garage is available for use with your rental but is not part of the regular cleaning at city hall. It may require cleaning prior to use and is expected to be clean and free from food and garbage when done.

No smoking is permitted inside or around the facility.

Only blue painters tape may be used on the walls or ceiling. No nails, pushpins, or thumbtacks. Do not move/remove pictures or wall decor.

Keys can be accessed the evening before if the hall is available and are due back at the end of the event.  Contact skylineclerk@gmail.com

Please report any issues asap (non working appliances, lack of supplies, clogged toilets, etc).

Please allow 1 week notice for cancellation of the event.

You must return the hall to it's original setup after your event

  • Remove all food items from building including coffee grounds.
  • Empty trash and recycling to bins in garage and push outside the overhead garage door.
  • Wipe down/clean all tables before storage.
  • Return other items to appropriate storage area.
  • Vacuum/sweep floors and entry
  • Wash and put away coffee pots, dishes and silverware. Leave coffee pot filters out to dry
  • Wipe down counters, stove, and microwave as necessary.

This facility is under video surveillance inside and around the building.
